How many sheets of drywall do I need?

What size drywall sheets should I use?
4x8 ft (1.22 x 2.44 m) is the standard size for most residential walls. 4x12 ft sheets reduce the number of seams on taller or longer walls but are heavier and harder to handle alone.
How many screws do I need?
This calculator estimates roughly 1 screw per square foot of drywall, a common rule of thumb, rounded to the nearest 10. Actual screw spacing depends on your framing layout and local code.
How much joint compound do I need?
As a rough estimate, one standard pre-mixed bucket covers about 10 sheets for basic taping and finishing. Skim coats and higher finish levels will use more.
